On leased fields near the village of Dachnoye, Belyaevsky District, Odessa Region, stubble burned. He was exposed by the deputy of the district council Sergey Kuzmuk and the chairman of the Dachnensky hunting team Vitaly Golovan.
Eyewitnesses claim that the tenant uses this barbaric method to cultivate the land after harvesting.
According to the deputy, at first they noticed smoke on the field, reported to the fire department and police and drove to the place. A tractor worked on the territory that had already burned out, and in the forest belt the tenant himself calmly watched the action.
“When asked what is going on, the farmer said that he had nothing to do with it; who set fire to the stubble did not know. I didn’t know how to explain why his tractor works on the scorched field and why he still hasn’t called firefighters, ”said Sergey Kuzmuk.
The deputy noted that the operational headquarters of the district state administration, which includes representatives of the police, the traffic police and other services, should make visits to the district, talk with farmers in order to prevent such situations in the future.
Recall that when stubble, straw and crop residues are burned, humus of the most fertile surface layer burns, resulting in a decrease in the biological activity of the soil. Together with dry plant debris, fire destroys the priceless biosphere of fields, which could significantly increase productivity in subsequent years, and pathogenic microorganisms and weeds come in its place.
In addition, such burning out of stubble can lead to a fire in neighboring fields or in forest belts, fire can spread to nearby residential and household buildings, etc.
