On the fields of the Republic of Bashkiria, representatives of the fodder sector of agriculture began mowing perennial grasses. Such information was shared with the public by the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.
The department also noted that the leaders in the harvesting of fodder plants in the republic is the Urozhay production enterprise, which is considered the foremost agricultural company in Bashkiria. Daily, the drummers of the production of this enterprise manage to mow about two hundred hectares of perennial crops.
It will not be superfluous to note that the 2019 fodder wedge in the Republic of Bashkiria is eight hundred and two thousand hectares. At least half of them are occupied by perennial plants, and the territories allocated for the cultivation of one-year-old herbs exceed an area of one hundred forty thousand hectares.
If we talk about Sudan grass, which is considered an unusually valuable feed for farm animals, then its share in the total mass of the fodder wedge of the current year in the Bashkir open spaces is forty-two thousand hectares.
Conventionally, for one individual farm animal, Bashkir farmers plan to harvest about thirty centners of feed units of hay and straw, as well as silage, root crops and haylage, which are referred to as so-called succulent feeds.
