Ukrainian borsch has become a leader in the popularity of national dishes around the world. This is evidenced by the data of the special “Taste Map”, which was launched in 2018 by the TasteAtlas service. In fact, this is an electronic map of the world, but it’s not cities that are marked on it, but the national delicacies of a particular country.
Today, about 11 thousand different gastronomic masterpieces are marked on this interactive map. By clicking on any of them, the user has every chance to find out not only the set of ingredients that make up this dish, but also get acquainted with the reviews for this product, as well as its history.
The leader of views on the map today is the Georgian gastro-masterpiece - khachapuri. Second place went to the Balkan delicacy called chevapchichi (fatty fried sausages). And the “bronze” was won by Ukrainian borsch according to the views - it overtook even such popular dishes around the world as Italian spaghetti, Japanese sushi and an American cheeseburger.
