As part of a program developed by experts from the United Nations, Russian scientists will take an active part in a long-term operation to reduce poverty in Ethiopia and increase employment in villages in this African country.
To reduce the number of unemployed Ethiopians, Russian experts will help increase the number of individuals of Nile perch in the waters of Lake Tana. This reservoir is located in the northwestern territories of Ethiopia.
And if you revive the mass number of fish of different breeds in this lake, you can achieve that at least six hundred Ethiopians will get jobs in the fishing industry. Specialists from Astrakhan and Rostov-on-Don will rush to help the needy Africans.Being highly qualified experts from leading Russian universities and the Academy of Sciences, they will develop a strategy to increase the number of individuals of various fish species, including Nile perch, so that Africans can not only get more food, but also get jobs in industries such as: fish farming, its catch, processing and production of provisions (both finished and raw food products and semi-finished products).
It should be noted that the decrease in fish population in Lake Tana provoked the Ethiopians' uncontrolled use of cheap nets made in China from low-quality materials. The number of fish reached a critical point. Now without the help of competent scientists can not do.By 2022, Russian experts intend to complete a program to restore the number of fish on Lake Tana and apply potentially useful experience to other reservoirs in Ethiopia.
