In correctional colony No. 1 at the Main Directorate of the Federal Service for the Execution of Punishments of Russia in the Kemerovo Region, prisoners set up a unique production.

We are talking about making sweets from sunflower raw materials on the territory of the halva production workshop - from now on, convicts in a correctional institution do it themselves with their own hands making a sweet roasting of sunflower seeds, popularly known as kozinaki.

According to the press service of the agricultural department of the Kemerovo region, a trial batch of sunflower barbecue was released in full accordance with GOST. Manufacturers focus on the fact that their gozinaki are made without any chemical additives, flavor enhancers and other harmful impurities.

“Our kozinaki is only sunflower grains, a little sugar, molasses and drinking water,” confectioners inmates assure, proudly speaking of their hand-made products.

They pack their product in 200-gram packaging, which is convenient to transport, store. One pack can quickly satisfy an insignificant hunger.

This roasting will soon go on sale in all correctional institutions of the Kemerovo region.
