ATO participant Nikolai Stetskiv founded the Faina Berry farm and is successfully developing agritourism in the Lviv region.
In 2014, in the village of Rakovets, on a site allocated as a participant in the ATO, he planted strawberries. He took plots of his comrades, where he also began to grow berries. Later, Nikolai, together with his wife Ivana, founded a farm and took a hectare under strawberries.
Now Faina Berry conducts its work on 8 hectares in the village of Gonchary 6 km from Lviv. Farmers do not leave their first plot in the village of Rakovets. On the new array, the Berry World project is being implemented, where many different crops will be grown. Young entrepreneurs are planning to purchase lavender and create a provence field.Before the hostilities, Nikolai tried himself in several professions, but did not get such pleasure anywhere from the agrarian business. True, he cannot call this work easy, the farmer says.
Nikolai Stetskiv is actively developing agritourism. He created the project “Build yourself”, in the framework of which people came to the field and picked strawberries for themselves. At the same time, the farmer managed to save a little on picking berries and earn on self-service shares. Tourists themselves collected as many berries as they wanted, weighed and transferred money to the farmer on a card. Nikolai does not know the exact number of such tourists, but says that there were many of them.Young businessman considers agritourism an attractive destination for Ukraine. Great potential for its development is in the Lviv region, and throughout the country, as each region has its own zest.
