Noni exotic fruit oil has every chance of becoming a new breakthrough in the field of biopesticides.
This was stated by Brazilian researchers from the Federal University of Tocantins. According to them, they managed to get a prototype of an insecticide based on oil of exotic fruits, also known as noni or morinda limonifolia.
“This plant is very common in the South Pacific region,” scientists say. “The culture is unpretentious in cultivation and care, and its fruits have a specific aroma.”

It will not be superfluous to add that specialists from the same Federal University of Tocantins (Brazil) last year made sure that noni plant oil can also be used in the fight against the pathogenic fungus Exserohilum turcicum.
“Our plans for the near future are to create a high-quality and persistent insecticide to combat pathogens and garden pests,” the developers emphasized.
