Cygnet completed the planting of sugar beets in early April.
In general, this year 14% of the cultivated area was allocated for sugar beet cultivation, which is 3.8 thousand ha, the farm reports on its website. The company started sowing sugar beets on March 25 and completely finished the sowing campaign on April 3.
For sowing, seeds of foreign selection were used, in particular, modern hybrids that were processed using 3D-plus technology, the chief agronomist of Signet Center LLC Alexander Gaponyuk shared information.
The Cygnet Agronomic Service estimates this year's sowing of sugar beets as well-conducted. As of April 12, its seedlings were found in 50% of the areas sown with culture.
On an area of 800 hectares, the sugar beet sowing campaign was carried out using new technology. According to innovations, micronutrient fertilizers were simultaneously added to the earth along with seeds. Over the next few days, the company's agronomic service plans to launch the first herbicidal protection of sugar beets.
For information, the Cygnet group of companies was founded in 2011. In 2012, the company acquired 37 thousand hectares of land in the Khmelnitsky, Vinnitsa and Zhytomyr regions, as well as a sugar factory.
