Based on the information that Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Dagestan shared with a wide audience, over the next six years, farmers in the region will significantly increase the area of fields for rice cultivation.
The head of the department stressed that the territory of rice plantations will expand by at least three thousand hectares, so that by 2025 the area of these lands would reach twenty-two thousand hectares.
The idea is ambitious, but, at the same time, quite feasible. According to experts, for the implementation of the plans it is important to fulfill the three fundamental points of development. First of all, thorough work should be carried out in the field of reconstruction of engineering, providing fields with rice.
In addition, it should be borne in mind that it is necessary to build additional engineering systems on almost two thousand hectares of land. Secondly, tangible investments in rice production in Dagestan will be required. But for these purposes, the budget of the region has already provided for about one hundred and twenty million rubles.
Vladimir Vasiliev, the head of the regional administration of the Republic of Dagestan, is convinced that today one of the priorities of rice production is the supply of forty-six hectares of abandoned rice fields.
Also, according to Vasiliev, it is important to understand that this year the issue of land reclamation of neglected fields will be solved at the expense of funds from the regional budget in the amount of five hundred million rubles. The tangible help in this case will be the increase in tax fees in the republic.
