For 4 years now in Ukraine you can buy real European delicacies of local production - sun-dried tomatoes. To optimize the production process, manufacturers plan to use solar energy, said Andrei Beglenko.

Returning from a trip to Europe, A. Beglenko began to look for dried tomatoes in the usual European shops. There was nothing like this in Ukraine. Then the friends decided to dry the tomatoes on their own. At first, delicacies were prepared for themselves and their acquaintances, but then they realized that they could be sold. At present, the company supplies its products to the Okko and Kanapa restaurant chains, as well as to Silpo and Auchan supermarkets. You can order Ukrainian dried tomatoes on the Internet. A jar of 300 ml costs 90 UAH.

Entrepreneurs are planning to expand the product line. Andrei Beglenko says that plum and pepper can be dried. Another company seeks to enter the international market. But while she does not have enough working capital for this.

Raw materials for the production of 1.5-2 thousand cans of 300 ml per month are purchased in the southern regions of the country. Dried tomatoes are mostly on order. Currently, the organization is increasing capacity and plans to use solar energy for drying. In 2019, the company plans to purchase equipment for drying tomatoes and combine it with solar collectors and concentrators, says Andrei Beglenko.
