About eighty thousand tons of vegetable products, agrarians of the Moscow Region intend to collect this year from the greenhouses of the region.
It is noteworthy that this expected result exceeds the harvest of 2018 by twenty thousand tons.

This allowed the capital farmers to fully supply the demand of the residents of the Moscow Region with fresh vegetables (based on thirteen kilograms of produce per person).
As for the current year, according to the results of the first five months, agrarians of the Moscow Region have already managed to collect about thirty thousand tons of vegetables from greenhouses. It is noteworthy that winter collection volumes significantly exceed spring ones.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Moscow Region, Andrei Razin, is confident that the current pace will certainly be able to achieve an indicator of eighty thousand tons following the harvesting campaign in the greenhouse complexes of the region this year.
It will not be superfluous to note that over the past five years, the rate of production of vegetables grown indoors in the suburbs has increased almost tenfold.
