As noted in the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor, in the near future, Russian butchers and milkmen may get a chance to send their products to faraway Tunisia.
Negotiations between representatives of the Russian Federation and Tunisia regarding the possibility of mutual trade relations in the meat and dairy industry took place in Paris with the participation of leading veterinary specialists from both countries.
During the meeting, the Russian side expressed interest in exporting meat from cattle and small livestock, as well as poultry, milk and dairy products to the Tunisian market.
In order to convince potential trading partners of the high quality of their products, the Russians provided Tunisians with certificates of conformity of agricultural food produced by leading Russian enterprises to all veterinary and sanitary requirements.
In the event that Tunisia is satisfied with the information from the certificates, which is now being considered by experts, the process of exporting Russian milk and meat can begin literally on the same day.
It will not be amiss to note that Russia is also interested in importing high-quality seafood from Tunisia. To make sure that the fish and other marine products of Tunisian production meet all the requirements of the veterinary and sanitary systems of the Russian Federation, the Russian side will send auditors from Rosselkhoznadzor to Tunisia.
Their task is to get acquainted closely with the production processes of seafood manufacturers and give an objective assessment of quality.
Tunisians say they are interested in developing trade relations with Russia, and are waiting for auditors in June this year.
