Hull-based East Yorkshire bus company has unveiled two brand new, modern buses in its fleet to demonstrate its support for rural bus services.
Two new buses are equipped with the latest innovations to provide passengers with a pleasant journey, including free Wi-Fi, USB chargers, extra comfortable seats, wireless chargers for mobile phones, reading lamps and smartphone holders on the rear of the seats.
Buses also meet the highest emission standards, ensuring they are cleaner and greener than ever before. Buses depart for two of the company's rural routes: the route from Holm-on-Spalding Moor to York and the route between Driffield and Bridlington. The company's regional director, Ben Gilligan, said the new buses demonstrated the company's commitment to launching buses outside of big cities: “Buying new modern buses for rural transport is something that many bus companies would never have done. Nevertheless, our buses to small towns and villages are very important for us, and the placement of these modern buses on rural routes indicates our commitment to their growth and development in the future. People can help us do this by regularly using the bus and encouraging their friends and family to do the same. ”
New buses created at the local Dennis factory in Scarborough will be available from mid-April and will be followed by new, more advanced and refurbished ones that will be commissioned during the current year.
