On the territory of agricultural lands of the Stavropol Territory this year, the yield of such a crop as a cucumber has significantly increased.

It is noteworthy that a year earlier in the vastness of the region, fifteen percent fewer cucumbers were harvested than today.

Such information was shared by representatives of the public relations department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory. Also, the department emphasized that at the moment there is a hot harvesting campaign in the fields with cucumbers.

It is noteworthy that the coverage area of ​​pickers this year for cucumbers is two hundred and fifty hectares. For clarity, it should be noted that a year earlier the share of cucumber beds in the total agricultural indicator of the region's area was two hundred thirty-two hectares.

The farmers of the region have already managed to work out ninety hectares, having collected over seven hundred seventeen and a half tons of cucumbers of different varieties. The average yield has exceeded eighty and a half centners per hectare.

And this is fifteen percent higher than the figure for the same period in 2018, says Andrey Oleinikov, the head of the regional Ministry of Agriculture.
