The rise in price of all cereals except buckwheat is coming in Ukraine. The monthly price increase for them will be 1.5-2%, according to the Economic Discussion Club represented by expert Oleg Pendzin.
The main factor affecting the pricing of this group of goods is grain prices. If the price of bread and flour rises, then cereals become more expensive.
With the rise in price of flour, cereals will also increase in price. In a month this will be approximately 1.5-2%. Only the cost of buckwheat will remain stable. This cereal is stable in terms of price. Such dynamics will continue in the future, says Oleg Pendzin.
Earlier, Ukrainian expert Aleksey Doroshenko already predicted a rise in cereal prices in Ukraine. According to him, cereals will rise in price with an increase in the cost of potatoes, since they are its partial substitute. According to the forecast of Alexey Doroshenko, prices for the cheapest cereals, such as corn, barley, pearl barley and semolina, will rise. The average cost of cereals in Ukraine will be 12 hryvnia. According to A. Doroshenko, only rice and wheat groats will not rise in price. The latter now stands almost like rice itself. But buckwheat can grow in price by 30-40% if its supplies from Russia are stopped.
