On June 22 this year, the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine dated May 10, 2019 No. 243 “On Approving Amendments to the Procedure for the Identification and Registration of Pigs”, which was informed at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, entered into force.
From now on, the registration card of the farm will be certified by a specialist of the state institution (institution) of veterinary medicine, which controls this farm. To do this, draw up or receive any additional documentation (for example, certificates) will be unnecessary. This will significantly save the livestock owner.
In order to improve the quality of identification tools, the Procedure imposes clear requirements on identification and registration tags for pigs.If old-style ear tags have already been used to identify animals, then they do not need to be re-identified. If the ear tag of the previous sample was lost, then its replacement will take place using the tag of the new sample. The identification number is retained.
Changes were made to the form of the report on the presence and movement of pigs in the farm.
It is envisaged that tangible facilitation of the reporting system will be achieved on the issue of periodic inventory of the number of pigs on the farm and monthly submission to the administrator of the Animal Register of a report on the presence and movement of the number of pigs on the farm in the prescribed form.In addition, it is proposed to simplify the form of the aforementioned report: the principle of technological age groups of pigs will be the basis of livestock accounting, which is due to the requirements of modern software used by manufacturers.
