Dan-Farm Ukraine Limited Liability Company will open a large fattening pig farm in the Korosten district of the Zhytomyr region.

At this time, work on the project is ongoing. In the summer of 2018, the fourth phase of construction was completed. 80% of the complex is already operational. Nowadays there are 20 thousand pigs on the farm, and it is planned that there will be 24 thousand, the director of Dan-Pharm Ukraine, Vadim Shestakov, reports.

Now a room for another 4 thousand head of cattle, a feed mill and a second lagoon for manure are being equipped. So far, only one such lagoon has been put into operation at the enterprise.

To avoid ASF infection, the company strictly adheres to the biosafety technology from Denmark. These cleanliness standards are successfully cultivated by agricultural enterprises around the world. Transport and employees undergo mandatory disinfection, the “dirty” and “clean” zones are divided among themselves, the entrances to the pigsties are separate. All these conditions are an indispensable standard for successful pig farming, emphasizes Vadim Shestakov.

So far, the priority of the company is the completion of construction work and access to full production facilities. Product processing is not yet planned.
