Leading experts of the Ochakov Food Ingredients Plant showed their next achievement to the world community, which will surely surprise everyone. This is the first meat in the Russian Federation, created entirely in the laboratory.
This "test-tube product" was obtained from the biomaterial of a calf belonging to the Aberdeen Angus breed. This breed is positioned as highly productive, with high meat quality indicators.
The cells of a dairy calf, which was only a few days old, were taken into development by scientists and placed in a specially created nutrient medium. After spending several days in a special composition, which is a mix of a gel base with a generous portion of amino acids, salts, vitamins and trace elements, the cells were cloned.
The result was a full-fledged "meat", the shelf life of which significantly exceeds the same period in traditional veal.
According to the developers, the mass production of veal from a test tube will reduce the rate of slaughter of farm animals and increase the environmental performance of both the Russian Federation and the planet as a whole.
Ordinary consumers will be able to purchase a unique product from the Ochakov Food Plant in the next year, 2023.
