IK "Yagodki" from the Kiev region is engaged in the cultivation of organic blueberries on 55 hectares.
The cooperative has registered its own trademark BigBlue organic blueberry farm and has released an English-language leaflet about its products. In each hectare of organic berry plantations here they invest € 35 thousand.
The company was founded in 2016, but the first test berry crop was harvested only last year. According to the co-founder of the enterprise Oleg Naumenko, the company will reach full capacity in three years. Almost all of the products received are planned to be exported. The enterprise of Oleg Naumenko has all the necessary documents for land and grown berries from the certification body Organic Standard. To obtain a certificate, at least € 35 thousand had to be invested in each hectare of berry.
Planting maintenance costs the company 38-40 thousand UAH annually, which is three times higher than the cost of growing ordinary blueberries. The entrepreneur expresses confidence that until 2023-2025 the berry will fully pay for all the funds invested in it.Earlier it was reported that due to the burning of dry grass, both plantations of Oleg Naumenko's berries almost burned down, which he reported on his Facebook page.
